Rishi Sunak who was very much discussed in Media in last couple of months to be favorite to become the Prime Minister of United kingdom after the resignation of Boris Johnson but lost to Liz Truss, but has finally become the Prime Minister of U.K. on 23rd of October after the resignation of Liz Truss who served for just 50 days (the shortest tenure in history of British politics for a P.M). Earlier there were many doubts over Sunak’s becoming P.M. in international Media because he is of Indian descent (former British Colony).

After Becoming the Prime Minister Rishi was seen practicing some Hindu rituals ( doing pooja for good omen before shifting in ) outside 10 Downing street before he officially moved in and take charge.

Few notable religious acts by Rishi noticed lately :

• He has taken his Oath on Bhagwat Geeta (the holy book).
• He wears Red sacred thread onto his wrist known as “Kalawa” the holy thread for good luck.
• Rishi even attended the Diwali celebrations at 10 Downing street.
• He is believed to be very much devoted to Hinduism.
• He has even been seen worshiping GAU ( type of Cow worshiped in Hinduism) on his visit to ISKON BhaktiVedanta Manor temple with wife to celebrate Janmashtami in Watford (U.K).

which all shows he will bring some Hindu customs in 10 Downing Street such as Beef and other Beef products might not be welcomed there, he might setup a in-home temple for worship which would be done for the first time there.

Rishi Sunak who has just become P.M. in not just first Indian descent and Brown colored but the Youngest P.M. in British History of Constitutional Monarchy at age of 42, earlier such example was set by Barack Obama who was the first Black President of United States Political History.

Rishi Sunak is married to an Indian women Akshata Murthy who is from Bangalore (India). She is daughter of Indian billionaire N.R. Narayana Murthy, Rishi and Akshata Murthy are 222nd richest people in U.K. with an combined estimated worth of around  £730 million as of 2022.

Rishi was born in Southampton to an Indian Hindu Family shifted in U.K. from East Africa Yashvir and Usha Sunak he is eldest of his three siblings, he has one younger brother and a Sister. Sunak had studied at Winchester college of boys later he studied Philosophy, politics and Economics at Lincoln college, Oxford.

Though Rishi is born and raised in a Hindu family and practicing Hindu customs and devoted to them that still doesn’t change his outlook towards his political approach and ambitions and has been praised at many occasions for his work and dedication and his visions , Rishi starve to improve things in every aspect and lead the country. Should his religion be an obstacle in his new journey as a new Prime Minister of U.K.?, it doesn’t seems so, He has shown and proven in past for his work since he started his political carrier and winning Member of Parliament to Chief Secretary to the Treasury. As per many multiple generalists he will thrive as the P.M. of U.K.
